Coulomb partners with Ford, Chevy, Smart to deliver 4,600 free EV charging stations in US
Looks like Australia and Poland were just the beginning: Coulomb Technologies is looking to roll out nearly 5,000 electric vehicle charging stations in the US, effective immediately. Coulomb to electrify California with 1,600 shiny new EV chargers
Fret not, Cali residents. Your state government may be desperately sinking into the quagmire of its own extravagance, but cash will always be found to fund good old “private” enterprise. Coulomb Technologies is expected to today announce the rollout of 1,600 ChargePoint stations across the sunny state, aided in part by a $3.4 million...

Samsung Galaxy Tab to have HDMI dock, leather case, and other sideshow trinkets
We’re starting to think Samsung has given up the pretense of keeping the Galaxy Tab ’s details secret and is letting them all out now. Accessories for its upcoming 7-inch Android tablet have been spotted on one of Sammy’s many online portals, complete with pricing. The headline act here will be that “table charging station”...

EVO 4G receives a Palm Pre inductive charging transplant (video)
Oh yes, an HTC EVO has been modded with the inductive charging coil ripped from the still beating heart of a Palm Pre. The 30 minute soldering project does have the side effect of rendering compass apps useless while creating a slight bulge in the battery cover. Other than that, it just works — or so says the creator. See the modded EVO...

Oregon Scientific debuts solar-powered weather station and projection clock
Oregon Scientific only introduces a few new products each year, so when we heard that a new pair were making their debut, we couldn’t help but take notice. Atlona’s VGA to HDMI adapter ditches the brick, does 1080p on USB power
Laptops or desktops stuck with only VGA output often need a little help to get their content onto an HDTV, and Atlona is there for them. It’s introducing another in a storied line of HDMI adapters, this one taking VGA input and turning it to HDMI output. That’s not particularly special, but that this one does it powered only by a single...

Southwest builds first "green plane," Ma Earth shows her gratitude
Southwest Airlines may not own a plane with a headrest infotainment system, but it’s still far and away the most enjoyable commercial flight you’ll find in the US of A (save for Virgin America , naturally). Granted, we’d like to see in-flight WiFi offered on a few more of its flights (read: 100 percent of them), but hey, we’ll...

We specifically told you guys not to tell your friends at Sony about a certain “feature” of EA Sports whereby the player is charged $10 to unlock online content and multiplayer functionality . The pico projectors just keep on coming, and now it’s time for the 3M MPro 150 to shine. It caught our eye back at CES thanks to its ability to play media, presentations, and even display spreadsheets all from internal memory — no PC required.
